Why This Isn’t a Typical Surf Retreat
This is not a yoga-surf combo or a big group holiday.
It’s a surf training experience for surfers who want the same lifestyle as pros:
Filming every session (land & water)
Honest feedback and coaching
Understanding the why behind technique and wave choice
Small group, big focus, real progression
If you’re serious about surf improvement and willing to commit, you’ll leave not only with better waves under your board, but a deeper understanding of surfing itself.

What waves in Play Colorado Nicaragua look like
Camp Highlights
-
Expert Guidance
Gui Fonseca, an accomplished professional surfer, will be your mentor throughout the camp. Benefit from his deep insights, guidance, and expertise as you focus on advanced maneuvers, wave selection, and performance optimization.
In each surf session, we follow a structured approach to ensure your progress. We begin with searching for the best surf spot for the session. Then, we'll hit the waves, where you'll surf alongside Gui Fonseca himself. After your surf session, we'll analyze the footage together, pinpointing areas for improvement and discussing theoretical concepts to deepen your understanding of surfing.
-
Prime Surfing Location
Nicaragua offers some of the most consistent and powerful waves in Central America — and the stretch between Playa Colorados and Panga Drops is the perfect arena for serious surf progression.
You’ll be staying just steps from two world-class surf spots:
Playa Colorados – A fast, hollow beach break that's ideal for learning how to pull into your first barrel or perfect your barrel technique. With offshore winds almost all day and warm tropical water, it’s one of the best places in the world to train tube-riding with consistency.
Panga Drops – A deep-water reef that serves up long, playful waves and open faces — perfect for working on maneuvers like carves, snaps, and cutbacks. Ideal for both performance training and more relaxed sessions.
The combination of these two waves gives you a rare chance to develop both technical skill and wave judgment — all within walking distance from your room.
This is not just a surf holiday. It’s a high-level training experience in a remote, uncrowded, and wildly beautiful part of the world.
Between sessions, relax in a lush garden, analyze your footage by the pool, and soak up the surf-focused rhythm of life.
