Refund Policy

We want you to book with confidence. This policy explains how deposits, balances, refunds, and transfers work across our programs. By booking, you agree to the terms below.

1. Deposits and Payments

A 30% deposit secures your spot. The balance is due 30 days before your start date, or immediately if you book within 30 days of the start date.

2. Portugal Surf Progression Program (Peniche)

Refund and transfer terms are in line with EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(l), which exempts leisure services provided on a specific date from the 14-day withdrawal right.

  • A 30% deposit secures your spot. The balance is due 30 days before your start date, or immediately if you book within 30 days of the start date.
  • The deposit is fully refundable within 7 days of booking, as long as you booked more than 30 days before your start date. After that, it is non-refundable but fully transferable: move to another available date or pass your spot to another surfer.
  • If we determine after booking that the program is not the right level for you, you receive a full refund.

⚠️ No refunds for late arrivals, early departures, illness or injury, or surf conditions. On the long-weekend option, your six sessions are guaranteed. If conditions prevent a session, it is replaced with an alternative such as surfskate, video analysis, or a theory workshop, rather than refunded.

3. Monthly Improver Plans

Cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours before a session. Missed sessions without notice are non-refundable.

 

4. Online Coaching Programs (EU Consumer Law Applies)

  • Core Program (Monthly):

    • Cancel anytime before renewal.

    • Once access to content or coaching is provided, the 14-day withdrawal right is waived.

    • Non-refundable after access begins.

  • Pro & Elite Programs:

    • Minimum 3-month commitment.

    • Once started, fees are non-refundable.

    • After 3 months, cancel anytime before renewal.

    • At checkout, clients must confirm: “I agree to immediate access and waive my 14-day withdrawal right as per EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(m).”

5. Consumer Rights (Poland & EU)

  • As required by Polish law and EU Directive 2011/83/EU, clients may withdraw within 14 days for digital services only if they have not accessed the service.

  • By starting the program (logging in, receiving content, or coaching), the client agrees to lose this right.

6. Disclaimers & Insurance

  • Surf Sense is not liable for external costs (flights, visas, insurance).

  • We strongly recommend travel insurance covering surfing, medical, and trip cancellations.

7. How to Cancel or Request a Refund

To cancel, reschedule, or transfer a booking, email info@surf-sense.com with your order number. We will confirm in writing.
